Lately I've been in a artistic slump but talking with her which I think only lasted about 30 or 45 minutes it was refreshing to have another person's take on life. At a young age she had experienced a lot and saw the world differently so in other words she was mature for her age. Well she was more mature than I was at her age I'll tell you that. We had our brief conversation and we went our separate ways but our brief conversation had such an impact on me. Like any other artist who gets inspired I drew her, I'll show my sketch and the finished product at the end. I write this to say, you never know what or who will inspire you and it's also great to get out the house once in a while. Great art is inspired by the people we meet, the places we've been, and the choices we make. Anyway, here is the artwork...Enjoy!

Zoe
This has to be one of the most interesting illustrations I've done in a while because of the story behind it. When I was running or working out the other day I saw this girl sitting down on a log with a sketchbook on her lap. Like any other artist that caught my attention right away so I approached her. While we were conversing Little did I know she was one of the most interesting people I've met in a long time but she was also young and wasn't an artist...kind of. She had some sketches or portraits in her sketch book but she mostly used it for writing. For now let's just call her Zoe.
