This is some stuff in my sketch book that I haven't shown people yet. Enjoy.

Sketch of the day
Been practicing all week. I did a full day of measurements, using the ruler to sketch and mark out the outlines. The next day I penciled in the details after that I inked in the details. Then I added color which took two or three days I think. I did this so I can teach myself to slow down and see what I'm doing and pay attention to detail. I like it, it came out good. Also more to come.

Clint Dempsey
This is the sketch and finished product of the Captain of the American Futbol team Clint Dempsey. This is all the hard work that I have done in my summer class. Learning how to use Photoshop the different tools and also trying new things. Their are still some things I have to work on but for now this is what I've came up with. I still have to work on my proportions and my line quality. So I hope you guys like this.

| Normal Logo |
Here is the computerized version of the logo for the car I did the other day. It still needs some work but I'm getting better at it, this is Illustrator by the way. I like using Illustrator more than Photoshop but that's because I haven't really practiced using Photoshop like that. I am going to work on InDesign hopefully before class ends anyway here is the logo, ENJOY!

Sketch of the day [6/25/14]
Its been a while since I did one of these. Here is my sketch of the day, I decided to do a car. I wanted to test out this new style I'm thinking of adapting. I wanted to do something with some movement in it while also practicing on branding. So I decided to build a car from the ground up. This is the first time I've tried to draw a car in a while and I think I was successful in my opinion. I call the car company Gold Star Finish Co. as you can see on one of the logos and the name of the car is AXi. As you guys can tell the pen strokes aren't that fluent but that will come with practice as this was a really fine pen. But I like it, it shows a lot of movement also I have to show you guys some stuff I have been doing in my summer art class as well so more on the way. Enjoy.

Daily sketches [4/7-13/2014]
I decided to do this again because it seemed productive like the last time. This week I was really Outkast inspired in some of my drawings as you can see. I'm mad at them though, I'm glad they are performing but at the same time why aren't their any shows coming to Atlanta, their home. Maybe they did & I missed it but I saw a live stream of their show which was pretty good, they are old now but they are still good at what they do. I just didn't like the crowd which was showing no type of energy. Also I did a full page sketch that took a couple of days because of work and studying but it turned out good. I called it A Day n the Life, where it sums up what I do on a daily bases. I also have some thumbnails to show you guys to show which one I picked to be the one I went with. Lastly, I'm still working on my characters. So check them out and tell me what you think:
This is the finished product of the sketch/thumbnails from above. As you can see I picked the top one.
A DAY N THE LIFE.

Sketch of the day
I've actually been drawing I just haven't been posting anything lately. School is starting to end and it is getting annoying and I'm starting to hate my job now. Well I'm feeling unappreciated and I think this sums it up. When I look at this I see hate, anger, frustration, someone that's tired and someone who is also not ready to give up as well. Lately, I've been feeling like all those things but I gotta keep moving forward. So here it is, I call it The Look

What I've been working on: Portland Blazzer Project
If you saw my sketch from the other day this is the finished product of what I've been working on and I am proud of it. There are still things that I have to work on but at the end of the day I can see myself progressing. On the left is the Point Guard Damian Lillard and to the right is Portland's Forward/Center LaMarcus Aldridge. Both of these players were All Stars this year and Portland is doing good as well. Another reason why this took so long was because I have so much school work to do, midterms are coming up and I have been studying a lot lately but drawing has calmed me and kept my mind fresh so I don't get overwhelmed. Anyway check the picture out and tell me what you think.

Patience: The Great Elephant
This is the end result of what I have been working on for the past week. I am getting better also I'm proud of myself with every sketch, video I watch, and even some books that have been recommended for me to help me become great. What I like about this is the progress, if you notice that the top flowers are different from the rest of the piece. I have been looking at so many Youtube videos on how to get better at art that the style that most of them used stuck to me and that's how those flowers came out. Everything else is somewhat the same but I'm paying more attention to detail. I am proud of this one I will only get better from here so check it out for yourself and tell me what you think:
A lot has been going on lately, once again Georgia was hit with the snow/ice storm and everything kind of stopped for a while. As of now I have been busy with work, kind of, school, I have started back working out and eating healthier so that's a plus, and also trying to be a better person. So as of now my schedule is tight but everything is good right now, plus I have a test Monday. Anyway, I'm learning more and more about being a graphic designer, I just have to keep practicing and putting my work out there for the world to see. Looking at this I still have a lot to work on but I'm getting better one piece at at time. It is going to be a long process but it's what I want to do so I just have to keep practicing and working on it. If it came easy then it means nothing, so I'm going to keep working at it. Alright talk to y'all later. Peace.

Sketch of the day [1/29/14]: Godzilla Therapist (color)
I like that I took a chance on this with color it feels like it has taken on a life of its own. I like the different colors variations that I did with the water color pencils in the buildings and also in the planes. I don't think I went out my element with this but I do think I am either getting better with my colors or I'm paying more attention to details. I added more photos so you can see the different color variations I did for the beam and the planes I hope you like this as much as I enjoyed doing this. Looking at the picture now I don't know if it is the color of the paper or the photo but it came out gray, maybe because of the water added to the paper. If that's the case I'll up load it again in another post when it dries up. Anyway, talk to y'all later:

Project Pastels Phase 3
Just finished up the skulls, the chain, and the nose of the elephant. This is one of my favorite phases because I can see everything come together and not just a bunch of stuff being put together. This is the phase where I know what I wanted to do and how to use the pastels the way I want. You will see more of what I am talking about in the final phase. Anyway here it is phase three of this pastel project. I'll be posting the finished product later:
Project Pastel Phase 2
This is some of the colors that I have put in. Let me start by saying I'm not a oil pastel fan but I do like the look and feel of the chalk pastels that make up most of this drawing. Also I'm not a fan of the girl's right I eye I think I might have messed up on something along the way but I'm still learning so that is going to happen until I practice more. Other than that I'm loving the elephant, I think that is the strongest thing in this piece. All and all it is coming together I'm learning how to use these pastels and it is a challenge but I'll get through it. Anyway take a look:

Project Pastels phase 1
Yesterday I decided to start practicing with my pastels I found out I have 2 which are chalk and oils. I think I'm addicted to what the elephant stands for which is patience. This looks similar to the daily sketch I put up a day or two ago but I wanted to go ahead and practice on the pastels that I have. I think I'm going to call this Project Pastels, this is stage one so stay tuned for more:

Throwback Thursday
Today I was looking through my portfolio and found this I called it childhood, I think. If you look closely you will see all my favorite cartoons Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Charlie Brown, Foster Home for Imaginary Friends, and many other shows that I used to watch. I did this is 2011 in my first art class that I ever took. Now I see some of the flaws they were talking about and what I could have worked on but my eye wasn't as sharp as it is now but I do like what I did with the hands and so did someone else I forgot who though. I was not only looking at this but also some of my old stuff that I did and I have progressed maybe that is a good thing looking back on old works and see how I progressed instead of looking too far ahead and expecting myself to be this great artist. Anyway, here it is:

Sorry about that/Sketch of the day
Sorry about this. Lately I've started school and I've been busy as well. Today has been hectic as well running around trying to fix my driver side mirror. I backed into a poll so yeah that's the end of that story or as much of it as I'm willing to tell because I feel stupid about it lol. Anyway, I got school, work, and other things going on. But I think I'm becoming a better person my mom said I should work on one thing this year as a New Years resolution and that is...I don't know I'm still trying to figure that out. I think it's faith. Anyway this isn't a recent sketch, I did this last year, I'm working on something today so here it is:

What I've been working on: Ms. America
This is what I've been working on all day while watching the Carolina vs The 49ers, which was a good game. I started off wanting to do something abstract but things change so I adjusted to that. It turned out better than I expected and I like it. It has that space out of this world type of feel with the cloud and the moon but I put a twist to it by putting the American flag in the background. Actually the flag was the main goal at first but I still wanted an abstract feel to it. Lets be honest, most of my work is by accident but somehow I make it work. This is the model, don't know her name but check out her blog. Anyway, here is the picture:
Side Note: My paint class got canceled so I guess I have to learn how to paint on my own but that isn't anything new. Also school starts tomorrow so I have to get ready for that, it is suppose to be my last year so I'm going to be busy for a while but I will be sure to keep you guys posted.

What I've been working on [Ms. Circuit]
This is what I've been working on all day today. I woke up ate breakfast, went to the gym, came home took a shower and did this for the past five hours I think. This started as me trying to make an android, it's funny I try to aim to another galaxy when I should be aiming a little lower like the sun but that's not who I am so here is what I came up with. This is the banner version of it hopefully you can tell I was trying to make a android but failed but I think it came out better. I went back to what I know and that's being spontaneous with my colors and hoping something cool comes out of it. So here it is I call it Ms. Circuit. I love colors and I like the way the white pops out and most of all I love the way the model looks, I think that's the best part of this design. Take a look for yourself and tell me what you think.

Sketch of the day [1/7/14] [Drug Test Comic]
I wanted to do something different today so I decided to do a comic of how I expect my drug test conversation to go tomorrow. I was suppose to take it a couple of weeks ago but when I got there no one was there so I left. A few weeks later like after Christmas & New Years I just forgot about it. As I was trying to figure out what I was gonna draw today I got a text from my boss making sure I come in tomorrow to take the test. So I gotta drive to the airport & take another drug test, I don't smoke & I barely drink so I don't know why I have to take this test but I'm gonna do it anyway. So here is the order in reading it:
1. I'm here for my drug test. (me)
2. You were suppose to take it 3 weeks ago. (Boss)
3. What can I say, I had to get it all out my system. (Me)
4. That's nothing to joke about. (Boss)
5. Calm down it was a joke. (Me)
6. Now go in there & per in that cup. (Boss)
So here is the sketch, I like the warm cool contrast but it's mostly warm I think, I haven't been in color theory in a while. Anyway, here it is:

Sketch of the day [1/2/14]
This is my first sketch of the new year. This started out as a accident like most of my sketches and it turned out okay. I think I am addicted to watercolor now or I think it is the fact that I like using something new. Anyway, I lost my train of thought watching this movie called The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which is a great movie by the way. This sketch is just a collection of stuff & I like it. So check out the sketch & the movie:

Daily Sketch [12/29/12]/My day
This is my daily sketch, I call it Sun Goddess & her pet. These are watercolor pencils that my parents gave me for Christmas & I love them already. I like how you can't control what the watercolor does & how it's just like water, it flows how ever it wants. I like what it did with the hair the way it looks like fire & how the hair has movement to it. Check it out for yourself & tell me what you think:
The girl was complete accident I was trying to draw a model &
failed but I stuck with it & it paid off in the end, I'm proud of what I
did. Today was eventful to say the least. I got a call from my friend Friday
saying another one of my friends wants to meet at Five Points & chill so we got in the car on
Saturday & headed there. When we got to the train station, our friend
wasn't there it turns out he went home when we got there. So the obvious move,
decision, was to say forget it & go home but...I wasn't wasting my gas for
nothing. So I & Dameel, my friend, wanted to get something to eat. It
turned out that the Atlanta Hawks were playing tonight, so we bought tickets on
the spot. Usually I wouldn't do this but hey the tickets were cheap & they
were playing the Bobcats, a game no one cared about. So we got the tickets &
grabbed something to eat.
We finally found a table to sit down at because it is hard trying
to find a table to eat at in the CNN Center, yes the actual CNN center, it's
not that big of a deal if you're from Atlanta but if you're not then it's
probably a big deal. We started eating our pizza that we bought & these two
girls sat right beside us but in the beginning we didn't pay them any mind but
Dameel asked them a question a few minutes later, by now we are a little buzzed
from the drinks we were drinking. So we talked we got their names, they were
smart young girls around our age. Long story short, it was a great
conversation, we got their names & numbers & we headed to the game
about a quarter late.
Got to the game the Hawks were losing despite how good they are
this season but it was a great game. It came down to the 4th quarter & they
tied it up with a three pointer sending it to overtime, the crowd was going
crazy. In overtime they trailed but they came back & won the game by two or
three points if I remember correctly. I enjoyed it not only because the Hawks
won but it was "supposedly" Dameel's first time going to a Hawks game
& we saw one of our old classmates as a Hawks Cheerleader, yeah she's that
beautiful & talented, but overall it was a great night. I say this to say,
go out & be spontaneous & have fun because you never know what could
happen. And those girls I was talking about early invited us to go ice skating
on Sunday, and me & Dameel never ice skated before so wish us luck. Alright
talk to y'all later.
