What I've been working on: Portland Blazzer Project

If you saw my sketch from the other day this is the finished product of what I've been working on and I am proud of it. There are still things that I have to work on but at the end of the day I can see myself progressing. On the left is the Point Guard Damian Lillard and to the right is Portland's Forward/Center LaMarcus Aldridge. Both of these players were All Stars this year and Portland is doing good as well. Another reason why this took so long was because I have so much school work to do, midterms are coming up and I have been studying a lot lately but drawing has calmed me and kept my mind fresh so I don't get overwhelmed. Anyway check the picture out and tell me what you think.    

Sketch of the day [2/22/14]

This looks way better on paper but this is the sketch of the day. Two of my favorite players from the Western Confrense Damian Lillard and Lamarcus Aldridge. This is the first step of this I'm thinking about digitally doing this over and see what I can come up with. I'm going to keep trying to get better. Also I've been busy lately so that's why I'm not updating like I should but I'm gonna try to have something done each week. So far this is what I got, I'm proud of this because I'm getting better with faces so I can do it in my style.

Sketch of the day [2/17/2014]

Working on faces now. I got some good advice the other day about if you want to learn to draw faces better you should start with the skull. So here it is you will see more skulls for the next couple of days. Here are some side views, also I'm using a different technique instead of drawing with my wrist I'm learning to draw with my whole arm. I'm getting more movement and longer lines so that's a good thing. Check out the sketch, more to come:

Patience: The Great Elephant

This is the end result of what I have been working on for the past week. I am getting better also I'm proud of myself with every sketch, video I watch, and even some books that have been recommended for me to help me become great. What I like about this is the progress, if you notice that the top flowers are different from the rest of the piece. I have been looking at so many Youtube videos on how to get better at art that the style that most of them used stuck to me and that's how those flowers came out. Everything else is somewhat the same but I'm paying more attention to detail. I am proud of this one I will only get better from here so check it out for yourself and tell me what you think:

A lot has been going on lately, once again Georgia was hit with the snow/ice storm and everything kind of stopped for a while. As of now I have been busy with work, kind of, school, I have started back working out and eating healthier so that's a plus, and also trying to be a better person. So as of now my schedule is tight but everything is good right now, plus I have a test Monday. Anyway, I'm learning more and more about being a graphic designer, I just have to keep practicing and putting my work out there for the world to see. Looking at this I still have a lot to work on but I'm getting better one piece at at time. It is going to be a long process but it's what I want to do so I just have to keep practicing and working on it. If it came easy then it means nothing, so I'm going to keep working at it. This is my progress on my Elephant Chain project. I am still working some things out at the moment but for now this is what I have come up with. I am trying to get better at Gimp I am inspired by a guy named CT Chrysler that I am going to show you guys later. But here is what I have so far, so enjoy:

I'm trying to get back drawing something everyday. I don't like the King Snake all that much but I do like the Boy Wonder, I will say this I like the glass look on the snake's upper helmet compared to the other one. Now I am trying to balance everything from my school work, to my art, to working out, and just other aspects of my life. So expect to see more from me whether it's good or bad and also expect to see that elephant project I'm working on sometime next week. Here it is I hope you guys like it:

What I'm working on next

This is what I'm working on now which is apart of my Chain collection. It's the same style as the Alexander & Lebron Lion and these were meant to go together. So here is the sketch & since I have my tablet I can't wait to see how this turns out. As you guys can tell I love the elephant which is my second favorite wild animal. 

What I've been working on

If you've been wondering what I've been up to here it is. I finally got my Monoprice Drawing Tablet and so far it is going good. I still have to practice on it a little more but all in all it came out pretty good.  I would say this looks like me in cartoon form but I don't have green eyes.
